Example WEIRTON Ñ A mini-guest day was held by the WomenÕs Golf Association of Williams Country Club with 12 foursomes participating in a ÒMystery Tournament.Ó Jennie Epifano and Sono Kolanko co-chaired the event which began with a continental breakfast followed by golf and an awards luncheon. A welcome was extended by Association President Cathy Ralston and Kay Mascio offered an invocation. The details of the ÒMystery TournamentÓ were revealed at the luncheon by Epifano and Kolanko when a random draw determined which playerÕs net score counted on each hole. Taking first place was the team of Theresa Metcalf, Williams, Lori DeFallo, Red Oaks, and Marilyn Kenny and YangJa Koh of Steubenville Country Club. Second place was awarded to Priscilla Mavrich, Williams, teamed with Elaine Minda, Steubenville, Lori Szymanek, Spring Hills, and Patty Biondillo, Pleasant Valley Country Club. Winning third place was the foursome of Cathy Ralston, Williams, Lois Kirsopp, Carol Kassouf, and Judy Sams of Lindenwood Golf Club. Closest to the pin prizes were awarded to Billie Stanwick, Cadiz Country Club, Mavrich and Kenny. Long drive winner was Theresa Stotler of Cadiz Country Club. The longest putt prizes were won by Roxier Sosenko, Williams, and Joann Mahlie, Cadiz. Closest to the pin in two shots on number 11 was won by Carol Bayer, Williams. Chip-in prizes were awarded to Marge Cipriani, Pleasant Valley Country Club, Violet Stein, Williams, Epifano, Marge Alpino, Spring Hills, and Kathy Dolish. The 50/50 was won by Mavrich who was celebrating her birthday. Many door prizes were also awarded by lottery.
