Example Toronto Legion committees named
American Legion Unit of 86 of Toronto held their meeting for September in the post home with Joan Nance presiding.
Nance appointed committees, including Americanism, Mrs. Carl Nordenger; children and youth, Nance; community service, Betty Miller; legislative, Mrs. Tom Exterovich; poppy, Mrs. Johns Trifonoff; and VA and R, Mrs. Cless Starr.
Plans were discussed for the Halloween parade to be held Oct. 30, starting at noon. The unit will hold a 50-50 drawing Nov. 19, along with a bake sale at the post social room.
Boys and Girls state delegates will be honored with a dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. The delegates parents also will be guests. The regular meeting will follow the dinner.
