Example Smith 50th Mary and John Smith of Martinsburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 4 with a party at Christ Church in Martinsburg, hosted by their children. The Smiths were married on June 3, 1954 in Martinsburg. Mrs. Smith was a high school English teacher at Martinsburg High School for 20 years before retiring in 1990. Mr. Smith is a retired police officer for the City of Martinsburg. The couple have 10 children, 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Description The Journal welcomes the chance to publish news of anniversaries, printed at no cost, in the Sunday Living section. Announcements are stamped for date received and run according to date and space available. A photo may be published with the announcement and be in jpg format in the highest resolution possible. Photos may also be mailed to or dropped off at The Journal at 207 W. King St., Martinsburg, WV 25401. Photos to be returned should include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Do not send your only copy. We cannot guarantee a return. All announcements must include a daytime phone number and are limited to 150 words. The Living staff retains the right to edit the announcement for length, style and clarity.
