    Guidelines for submitting local results to The Journal's sports department:
     Be sure to include:
     * Time
     * Date
     * Location
     * Teams
     * Teams' records
     * The final score of your event.
     * If you mention individual performances, be sure to include the correct spelling of the person's first and last name.
     The daily deadline for submitting scores for the Area Roundup is 10:30 p.m. Anything submitted past that time will run in the next day's edition.



Description

    Here is an example:
     Freshmen football
    SHENANDOAH JUNCTION - Jefferson won its third straight Panhandle Athletic Conference championship in freshmen football, defeating Hedgesville 14-8 Saturday.
    A 62-yard pass from Ian Durr to Tyler Hester in the fourth quarter proved to the difference in the game as the Cougars finished the season with an 8-1 record.
    Hedgesville's lone score came on a 38-yard touchdown pass from J.R. Mayles to Denver Effland. Tyler McCain ran in the two-point conversion for the Eagles (6-2) as they tied the game in the third quarter.
    The Cougars scored initially as Jeremy Davenport intercepted a pass by Mayles and returned it 67 yards for a touchdown. Hester ran in for two points, making it 8-0 at halftime. Tyler Heflin, Tremain Bailey and Josh Summers led Jefferson defensively.
