Description The Maui News publishes wedding announcements in its Community section, which is published on Wednesdays. The announcements are published as space permits.
The announcements are for couples with direct connections to Maui and Maui County. Examples: live and work here, born and raised here.
The material that you submit should inclde the following:
o Full name and address of the bride:
o Married name of bride (to indicate the surname she will use):
o Full name and address of her parents:
o Full name and address of the groom:
o Full name and address of his parents:
o Where the ceremony was performed:
o Date of ceremony:
o Who performed the ceremony (include first and last name, title, and, if appropriate, church affiliation):
o Education and vocation of the bride and groom:
o Couple's residence after wedding:
o Maid of honor and relationship to bride:
o Bridesmaids and relationship to bride:
o Best man and relationship to groom:
o Groomsmen and relationship to groom:
o Flower girl and relationship to bride or groom:
o Ring bearer and relationship to bride or groom:
o Reception location:
o Number of guests:
o Special guests (include relationship and from where they came):
o Honeymoon (where and how long):
o You may leave out some of the information above, or you may include other information, which will be considered by the editors.
Here are the MINIMUM requirements for digital wedding pictures that are submitted to The Maui News:
o 4 inches wide at 200 dots per inch.
o Send pictures in .jpg or .tif format.
o Send pictures as attachments to the e-mail.
o Black and white or color are acceptable.
