Description The free death notice will contain only the name, age and town of the deceased. Date of death, time and place of calling hours, time and place of service and place of burial. No other information will be included in the free death notice.
A paid obituary may contain as much information as desired. The first two inches are free; however, the charge thereafter is $1.07 per line. An additional charge of $12.14 will be added for publication of photographs. An american flag is available free of charge for veterans.
As a reminder, when an obituary notice is faxed or emailed to The Inter-Mountain, please call (304) 636-2124 to verify its receipt. The correct fax number is (304) 636-8252. A representative of The Inter-Mountain will call to verify each obituary submitted to the virtual newsroom.
Daily deadlines: 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for the next day's publication. Sunday's deadline is 2 p.m. for publication in the Monday edition.
